AWIPEV Arctic Research Base, Ny-Ålesund, Svalbard, Norway: in this base, where the tipical temperatures reach easily -40°C, we have installed a 10Micron AZ2000 Altazimuth Mount, specifically designed to operate in these “extreme” environments. AWIPEV’s activities concern atmosphere, climate and meteorology research.
