Born from the original "fully stand-alone" philosophy of 10Micron, the V2 iteration reflects a deep evolution in both form and function. While the industry trend moved toward total PC dependency, 10Micron envisioned a professional ecosystem where the user remains in direct control regardless of external hardware stability. It was developed to remove potential failure points in the observation chain, ensuring that the the mount remains fully operational in any environment, from remote dark-sky sites to professional research facilities.

Mechanical Excellence

The keypad is housed in a precision CNC-milled chassis crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum, finished with a durable black anodized coating. Every interaction is tactile and secure, utilizing industrial-grade micro-switches designed for ergonomic use even while wearing heavy gloves. Electrical Architecture

Visibility and operational stability are central to the electrical architecture. The large, five-line graphic display and the keyboard are fully dimmable and backlit in deep red to preserve dark adaptation. To ensure performance in extreme climates, an integrated heating system maintains the display at optimal operating temperatures, preventing the lag or freezing common in standard LCDs during sub-zero observation sessions.

Software & Integration

The internal logic provides total command over the mount’s advanced capabilities, including access to extensive deep-sky and stellar catalogs up to the 16th magnitude.
