The HERCULES wooden tripod represents a sophisticated synergy of Italian craftsmanship and cost-effectiveness, specifically developed for the GM1 & AZ1 mount series. Manufactured in exclusive collaboration with Geoptik, this tripod is a 100% Made in Italy product that embodies our commitment to aesthetic elegance without compromising structural integrity.

Designed with the mobile astronomer in mind, the HERCULES strikes a deliberate balance between portable light weight and exceptional stability. It serves as the definitive choice for field operations involving the GM1000 & AZ1000 HPS series.

To accommodate diverse observation environments, the height is fully adjustable from 950 mm to 1100 mm (37.4" to 43.3") via extensible anodized aluminum sections. These extensions terminate in reversible tips, allowing the operator to toggle between rounded rubber for hard surfaces or sharp metal spikes for maximum grip on soft terrain.

For the legs, we selected "first choice" beech wood, specifically treated for outdoor resilience. Wood remains a superior material for precision applications due to its natural ability to provide exceptional vibration damping and structural rigidity, even when supporting substantial payloads.

The integration of the system is further enhanced by a laminated beech accessory tray, designed with dedicated ports for both 31.8 mm and 50.8 mm eyepieces, keeping your essential optics secure and accessible. For professionals on the move, the tripod includes a custom-upholstered 10Micron Nylon transport bag to ensure protection during transit. This support system offers an optimal balance of performance and value, serving as the ideal platform for light to medium payload configurations where stability and portability are paramount.
