Maintaining the integrity of your AZ2000 HPS II COMBI mount is essential for ensuring decades of uncompromising performance and precision. To facilitate this, our Standard "PLB Series" cases provide a professional-grade protection system specifically engineered for the rigors of both field use and international transport. These premium, Italian-made cases are constructed from a proprietary high-performance resin compound designed to balance structural elasticity with superior shock absorption. This advanced material science results in a transport solution that is significantly lighter than traditional flight cases while remaining virtually indestructible under extreme temperature fluctuations and environmental stress.

The PLB series acts as an impenetrable barrier, hermetically sealing your equipment against invasive elements such as dust, humidity, sand, and fine volcanic ash, which are often encountered in remote observatory locations. Internally, each case features high-density padding precision-milled to the exact contours of the mount components, preventing any internal movement during transit.

For the AZ2000 HPS II COMBI mount, the protection system is organized into a three-case trolley configuration for maximum mobility:

• Two primary cases are dedicated to the Altitude (ALT) and Azimuth (AZ) bodies respectively, ensuring the core mechanical axes are handled with the necessary care.

• The third case is designed to house the counterweights, the shaft, and the critical electronic suite—including the Control Box, hand control (keypad), and cabling.

The interior layout is optimized to provide additional space, allowing for the integration of further accessories within the same secure environment.
