PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The GO–ZERO field derotator is an auxiliary instrumentation, specifically engineered to provide an advanced accurate derotation solution for Alt-Azimuth (AZ) configurations. While the AZ form factor offers structural simplicity and intuitive movement, it inherently faces the challenge of field rotation during long-exposure astrophotography.
The GO–ZERO addresses this limitation by leveraging 10Micron’s high-precision motion control expertise, enabling the AZ platform to achieve the same imaging performance as a standard equatorial configuration.
At the heart of the GO–ZERO is a control architecture—encompassing the motor, drive electronics, and management software—developed with a singular focus on 21st-century observatory requirements. By eliminating mechanical bottlenecks and prioritizing stability, the system delivers the responsiveness and connectivity necessary for modern, professional-grade research and deep-sky imaging. This commitment to "Design for Precision" ensures that the derotator operates as a seamless extension of the mount's own tracking logic.
Integration is a core pillar of the 10Micron ecosystem. The GO–ZERO is designed to interface natively and instantaneously with our Direct Drive (DDS) series mounts. For users operating within our High Precision and Speed (HPS) line, compatibility is fully supported through an optional expanded mount control box, ensuring that our legacy of gear-driven excellence can also benefit from this advanced rotational correction. Whether deployed in a remote research station or a dedicated personal observatory, the GO–ZERO ensures that field rotation is effectively neutralized, allowing the observer to focus entirely on the pursuit of discovery.
